Financial Disclaimer
Please read this disclaimer before relying on any result from a CalcAuthority calculator. All tools on this site are provided for educational and planning purposes only.
Not Professional Advice
Nothing on CalcAuthority constitutes financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, mortgage advice, lending advice, legal advice, or any other form of professional advice regulated by law. The calculators on this site are general estimation tools designed to illustrate how mathematical formulas apply to common financial questions.
CalcAuthority is not a bank, lender, investment advisor, tax preparer, attorney, or registered financial professional of any kind. We do not hold professional licenses for providing financial services.
Results Are Estimates Only
Every result produced by a CalcAuthority calculator is an estimate based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions stated on that calculator's page. Actual results will differ based on factors that the calculator does not and cannot account for, including but not limited to:
- Your specific federal, state, and local tax situation, filing status, and deductions.
- Lender-specific fees, points, and loan terms not captured in the interest rate alone.
- Property taxes, homeowners insurance, PMI, and HOA fees (not included in mortgage estimates).
- Changes in interest rates, gas prices, or other market variables over time.
- Individual benefit elections, employer matching, pre-tax contributions, and similar payroll factors.
- State-specific laws, overtime rules, and tax rates.
Consult a Qualified Professional
Before making any financial decision — including accepting a job offer, taking on a loan, purchasing a home, or changing your tax withholding — consult a qualified professional who can assess your full individual circumstances. This includes:
- A licensed financial advisor or planner for investment and savings decisions.
- A licensed mortgage lender or broker for home loan questions. They are required to provide a Loan Estimate disclosing all costs.
- A certified public accountant (CPA) or enrolled agent for tax questions.
- An employment attorney for questions about wage laws, overtime exemptions, or employment contracts.

Specific Calculator Notes
Salary and paycheck calculators: Results show gross pay or estimated net pay before any specific tax filing analysis. Actual withholding depends on your W-4 elections, state, and individual circumstances.
Loan and mortgage calculators: Results show principal and interest only, based on the rate and term entered. They do not include origination fees, discount points, closing costs, property tax, insurance, PMI, or other costs that are part of the true cost of a loan.
Percent change and gas calculators: Results are straightforward mathematical calculations. Accuracy depends on the accuracy of the inputs you provide.
